Thousands Gather At Raouche In Beirut To Mark Hezbollah Leaders' Anniversary

In Beirut, Lebanon, on September 25, 2025, thousands of people gather at the Raouche seafront to mark the first anniversary of Hezbollah leaders Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine's deaths in Israeli attacks. Despite a ban announced three days earlier by Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, portraits of the late leaders are projected onto the iconic Pigeon Rocks as crowds chant anti-Israel slogans and wave Hezbollah and Lebanese flags. Boats also join the demonstration from the sea in solidarity. (Photo by Fadel Itani/NurPhoto)
