Toulouse: March In Support Of The Global Sumud Flotilla For Gaza

A protester shows a leaflet reading 'Stop the genocide in Palestine. Solidarity with the flotilla'. As the Global Sumud Flotilla tries to break the Israeli blockade of Gaza, in Toulouse, France, on October 1, 2025, people take to the streets to denounce the current Israeli onslaught in Gaza. Several hundred protesters participate in the march. As the march continues, the first news of the arrest of the flotilla by dozens of military ships of the Israeli navy encircling the flotilla emerges. The Spanish health minister says, 'The detention of the flotilla is yet another demonstration of Israel's inhumanity and its determination to destroy the Palestinian people.' The Israeli onslaught in Gaza is deemed 'genocide' by the CPI and several NGOs such as Amnesty International, HRW, PHR, etc. Israel crosses all the red lines of humanitarian laws and even laws of war. No meaningful humanitarian assistance has been delivered to Gaza since March 2, and a UN-related global hunger monitor warns that more than a million people face starvation in Gaza. Now more than 300 Palestinians die of human-made starvation. The US-Israel Gaza Humanitarian Foundation distributes aid, but Israeli forces continue to kill Palestinians when they gather to obtain food. More than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed during such distributions. The UN and NGOs do not want to participate as they call it a 'weaponization of food'. Since October 7, 2023, nearly 67,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza by the Israeli army. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
