Polish Defence Minister Presents Widespread Defence Training “In Readiness”.
A patch of the Polish Cyberspace Armed Forces is seen during a press conference at the General Staff of the Polish Army in Warsaw, Poland, on November 6, 2025. The Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, holds a press conference in which he presents, together with State Secretary at the defence ministry Cezary Tomczyk, the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces, General Wieslaw Kukula, and the Division General of the Polish Cyberspace Defence Forces, Karol Molenda, a new defence public training programme called ''wGotowosci'' (In readiness). This programme is aimed at every Polish citizen from the age of 18 who wants to deepen their knowledge about defence, first aid in situations of natural disaster or armed conflict, and cyber security, among others. Every Polish citizen can sign up for the training voluntarily via the government's ID App mObywatel. The government, led by Prime Minister Donald Tusk, aims to train 100,000 volunteers annually by 2027 and works to increase the availability of training for citizens, as well as enhance national security through initiatives like improved emergency shelters and self-defense courses for the public.
