The kidney garden spider, or pale orb weaver (Bijoaraneus mitificus), rests on a leaf in a forest in Tehatta, West Bengal, on Nov. 11, 2025. The small species, found across South, East and Southeast Asia, has a distinctive kidney-shaped marking on its abdomen and builds orb-shaped webs.
