Snow Leopard In Central Zoo, Nepal
An injured snow leopard cub, which is rescued one year ago from Morang, is seen inside its enclosure at the Central Zoo in Jawalakhel, Lalitpur, on November 13, 2025. Snow leopards are typically found at elevations above 2,500 meters, but this one is discovered in the Tarai lowlands at just 150 meters -- a rare occurrence of high-elevation species found in lowland regions. Similar cases are reported in Mongolia and Russia, where snow leopards and Himalayan wolves are recorded around 500 meters. (Photo by Safal Prakash Shrestha/NurPhoto)
