NYPD Police Officer Wounded And Suspect Dead As Police Investigated A Homicide On Thomas S Boyland Street

Boyland Street in Brownsville, Brooklyn, United States, on November 17, 2025. An NYPD officer is shot when someone opens fire at police officers from a building in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn on Monday morning. The officer is rushed to Brookdale University Hospital in the back of a police cruiser, just blocks away from the shooting scene, in unknown condition. The officer is said to suffer a gunshot wound injury. Officers respond to a home on Thomas S. Boyland Street just before 8 a.m. to investigate a homicide.
