Toulouse: Demonstration Against Sexist And Sexual Violences
Someone holds a placard reading 'Victims of violence...and in the street'. Women from the collective NousToustes and other organizations such as SUD or Amnesty International organize a nationwide march in France against feminicides, sexual and sexist violence, and patriarchy. Several thousand people, women and men, take to the streets for this day. They demand more measures from the French government to protect women beaten, injured, or killed by their partners. They say that 65% of killed women came to the police to make a complaint, but police classified the complaints. They also ask the police to have better training to pay attention to these complaints. Feminist organizations demand at least EUR2.6 billion per year as necessary to tackle violence against women. In 2023, more than 270,000 women are victims of violence by their partners in Toulouse, France, on November 22, 2025. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
