Veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Yevdokym Serdiuk, wearing prosthetic limbs and dressed as Santa Claus, waves to a child at one of the metropolitan shopping and entertainment centers in Kyiv, Ukraine, on December 12, 2025. Mr. Serdiuk volunteers in 2022 and serves with the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Mariupol Brigade, fighting in the Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Bakhmut sectors.
