Bangladesh Marks 54th Victory Day With Record-Bid Paratrooper Display
Bangladesh celebrates its 54th Victory Day on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, with nationwide programs. Bangladesh sets a new world record by performing the largest-ever parachuting display while carrying the national flag during Victory Day celebrations marking 54 years of independence. A total of 54 paratroopers of ''Team Bangladesh,'' each carrying the national flag, perform a skydiving display to commemorate the occasion. Paratroopers numbered 49 to 54 carry the names of six Bangladeshi peacekeepers who are killed in Sudan, honoring their sacrifice.
