Suspect In Custody After Fatal Bow-and-Arrow Killing Sparks Fire And SWAT Standoff On Kearny Avenue And Johnston Avenue
Members of the Hudson County Regional SWAT team work at the scene where a suspect reportedly kills a man using a bow and arrow in the area of Kearny Avenue and Johnston Avenue in Kearny, New Jersey, United States, on December 21, 2025. The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office and the Kearny Police Department investigate the death of a male that occurs in the area of Kearny Avenue and Johnston Avenue. Subsequent to the investigation, a fire begins on the same block of Kearny Avenue. SWAT teams and the fire department immediately respond to the area to conduct the investigation. After several hours, SWAT team personnel walk a suspect out of the building from the scene.
