New Year Celebrations Begin

Indian tourists write a New Year's greeting into the snow in Gulmarg, to the west of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian-administered Kashmir, India. Gulmarg is located less than six miles from the ceasefire line, or Line of Control (LoC), that divides Kashmir from India and Pakistan.
