Russian army strikes zoo in Kharkiv region with guided bomb
A golden pheasant is rescued after a Russian guided aerial bomb strike on the Feldman Ecopark in the Kharkiv region, Ukraine, on January 1, 2026. The shelling injures a volunteer and several lions, kills exotic birds such as parrots and pheasants, and destroys winter quarters for birds and predators.
