Candle Making Ahead Of The 2026 Chinese New Year Celebration

Workers move candles as part of preparations for Chinese New Year celebrations at the Dharma Ramsi Temple in Bandung, West Java. Around 500 candles are produced and prepared a month before Chinese New Year 2026, which falls on February 17, 2026, marking the start of the Year of the Fire Horse according to the Chinese calendar. The candles are used in a series of religious rituals as symbols of prayer, hope, and spiritual enlightenment for the congregation. (Photo by Ardi Septian/NurPhoto)
