Rio inaugurates Olympic transport system

The mayor of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Paes, inaugurated the expressway TransOlímpica, which has exclusive corridor for articulated buses of the BRT type - Bus Rapid Transit. The expressway connects two of the main sites of Olympic competitions: the Olympic Park in Barra da Tijuca and Deodoro Sports Complex. Initially transport can only be used by employees of the competition venues and the audience that will watch the Olympics and Paralympics in Rio 2016.
