On February 12, 2026, Delfina Gomez, Governor of the State of Mexico, leads the initial training ceremony for community policing officers at the San Miguel de los Jagueyes Military Base in Huehuetoca, State of Mexico. According to the federal government, the objective is to standardize the training of future community policing officers in knowledge, skills, techniques, and tactics focused on community engagement and civic justice, based on ethical values, discipline, a culture of legality, a gender perspective, and respect for human rights, with the purpose of actively contributing to protecting the lives, freedoms, integrity, and property of individuals, as well as maintaining public order and social peace.
