Historic Anandadi Lokeshwar Mandir Stands Revered In Chobar
In Chobar on the outskirts of Kathmandu, Nepal, on February 25, 2026, the historic Anandadi Lokeshwar Mandir (Adinath temple) stands. The 15th-century temple, rebuilt in 1640, is revered by both Hindus and Buddhists and is dedicated to Anandadi Lokeshwar, one of the principal Bodhisattvas honored as Lokeshwars in the Kathmandu Valley. Often nicknamed the ''pots and pans'' temple by tourists, its walls are adorned with donated domestic utensils affixed by devotees as offerings. (Photo by Sanjit Pariyar/NurPhoto)
