Protests In Kashmir Following The Killing Of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

A Shiite Muslim woman holds a portrait of the late leader of the Lebanese group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, during a protest against the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Shadipora, Sumbal area of Bandipora District, north of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, on March 3, 2026. Authorities impose severe precautionary restrictions for the second consecutive day in parts of Kashmir to stop protesters following the killing of Iran's Supreme Leader in joint US-Israeli airstrikes. Meanwhile, new strikes are reported on March 3 across the Middle East, including Israeli bombardment on Lebanon and a drone attack on the US embassy in Saudi Arabia. The conflict starts with US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28, which spark retaliatory Iranian attacks across the region, and shows no sign of abating as it enters its fourth day.
