Mobile World Congress

The KDDI-Avita Humanoid, a state-of-the-art service robot powered by Physical AI, is exhibited at the ''Street Corner of Tomorrow'' pavilion during MWC 2026, speaking with two congress attendants. Designed under the direction of Hiroshi Ishiguro, the robot features a compact skeletal structure, silicone skin for realistic facial expressions, and quiet pneumatic actuators that allow for fluid, human-like movements. It acts as a virtual-physical assistant for a futuristic restaurant and retail setting, utilizing high-speed connectivity to KDDI's Osaka Sakai Data Center for real-time processing of nonverbal cues like nodding and synchronized gestures during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, on March 4, 2026.
