Kathmandu Faces Unhealthy Air Quality

Air pollution levels increase in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, on March 10, 2026. Air pollution rises in Kathmandu as dry weather, lack of rain, dust, and vehicle emissions push the Air Quality Index (AQI) to around 190, with PM2.5 levels classified as unhealthy. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Population urges the public to remain cautious due to the rise in air pollution. (Photo by Ambir Tolang/NurPhoto)
