Anti-rape Protest In Kathmandu

Demonstrators hold placards with anti-rape slogans in Kathmandu, Nepal, on March 12, 2026, demanding a thorough investigation and strict action against those responsible for the killing of Inisha BK, a teenager from Mid-Western Nepal. Protesters call for a serious investigation into the case and demand the harshest possible punishment for those involved in the incident. Participants carry placards with slogans such as ''Punish Inisha BK's killers,'' ''End violence against children,'' ''Down with patriarchy,'' and ''Dismantle the system that breeds rapists.'' The demonstrators also call for the formation of a high-level commission to ensure impartial investigations into all rape cases across the country. BK is found dead in a community forest in Birendranagar. According to preliminary findings by Nepal Police, based on the post-mortem report and statements from those arrested, she dies due to excessive bleeding following sexual assault.
