Mobile World Congress

Visitors experience the future of spatial computing at the Samsung Electronics ''Galaxy XR & AI'' zone during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain, on March 5, 2026. The exhibit features the Samsung Galaxy XR headset (Model SM-I110), the first standalone device powered by the Android XR platform and the Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chipset with 16GB of RAM. The headset includes dual 4K Micro-OLED displays (3552 x 3840 per eye) with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 27-megapixel total resolution. Its sensor array comprises two 6.5-megapixel high-resolution passthrough cameras for 3D video capture, six world-facing tracking cameras, and a dedicated depth sensor. Alongside the headset, Samsung showcases its new AI Smart Glasses prototype, a lightweight wearable developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm using the Snapdragon AR1 platform. These glasses feature a 12-megapixel camera with autofocus and integrated Gemini AI for real-time multimodal interaction. The demonstration highlights the seamless ecosystem between XR hardware and the Galaxy S26 series, showcasing ''Project Astra'' capabilities and spatial ''Circle to Search.''
