Air Canada Plane Collides With Fire Truck After Landing At LaGuardia Airport

NTSB investigators gather at the scene where an Air Canada jet and a Port Authority fire truck are on the runway at LaGuardia Airport in New York on March 23, 2026. The collision occurred after the jet landed on Sunday night, resulting in the deaths of two pilots and the hospitalization of 41 others. The crash led to significant damage to the front of the jet and caused the airport to close for most of Monday. LaGuardia Airport will remain closed until at least 2 p.m. ET as the National Transportation Safety Board conducts its investigation. (Photo by Kyle Mazza/NurPhoto)
