The two solid rocket boosters separate from the core stage of the SLS rocket after a successful liftoff of the Artemis II mission from the Kennedy Space Center, carrying Commander Reid Wiseman, Pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen on a 10-day mission around the Moon and back, allowing NASA to fully test the Orion Crew Capsule for future Artemis Program missions.
