Indonesian Army Chief of Staff, Maruli Simanjuntak, gives a press statement after releasing the bodies of three Indonesian soldiers who were serving with the United Nations Interim Force for Lebanon (UNIFIL) to their families, at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, in Tangerang, on April 4, 2026. The soldiers were killed in Lebanon on March 29-30 during military operations involving Israeli artillery and landmines, amid the escalation of the Middle East conflict following US and Israeli military actions in Iran on February 28.
