Protest Against Duplomb's Law On Neonicotinoids And Pesticide Controls

People, including activists from Confederation Paysanne, Eau Secours 31, Generations Futures, and LDH, among other collectives, gather to protest against a new law proposal by Renaissance party member Laurent Duplomb in Toulouse, France, on April 11, 2026. The proposal seeks to authorize the use of certain products in farming, such as neonicotinoids like Acetamiprid, and suggests removing the precautionary principle from the French constitution in favor of an 'innovation principle.' The initial proposal was rejected by the Constitutional Council. Laurent Duplomb is also noted as a large-scale farmer. (Photo by Alain Pitton/NurPhoto)
