Odesa comes under massive Russian missile and drone attack
A Yakovlev Yak-52 trainer aircraft is used by the Ukrainian Defence Forces to monitor airspace over Odesa, Ukraine, on April 16, 2026. Overnight, the southern city experiences several waves of missile and drone strikes affecting port, critical, and residential infrastructure. Nine people are killed and more than 20 are injured.
