One Man Dead And One Man Injured In Urban Pathways Homeless Shelter Stabbing In New York City
NYPD investigators collect evidence at the scene where one man is killed and another man is injured outside the Urban Pathways homeless shelter in a stabbing in Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, New York, on April 23, 2026. The incident occurs Thursday morning at approximately 4:47 AM in front of 771 9th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers observe an unidentified man with multiple stab wounds to the torso and a 34-year-old man with multiple stab wounds to the abdomen. EMS responds and transports both men to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue, where the unidentified man is pronounced dead and the 34-year-old man is in stable condition. There are no arrests at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending.
