Fiesta San Antonio 2026 Charreria

An Escaramuza team rides on April 26, 2026, during Fiesta San Antonio. Escaramuza charra is the only female equestrian event in the Mexican charreria, featuring a team riding horses in choreographed synchronized maneuvers to music. The women ride side-saddle and wear traditional Mexican costumes. Founded in 1947, the San Antonio Charro Association in Texas, United States, is dedicated to preserving the traditions of charreria, Mexico's national sport, which is the forerunner to American rodeo.
