Suspect Struck By Vehicle And Arrested Following US Park Police Pursuit On Kenilworth Avenue NE And State Highway 295
FBI agents, ATF, U.S. Park Police, and other law enforcement agencies work at the scene where a suspect is struck by a vehicle after fleeing from a pursuit in the area of State Highway 295 and the 1300 block of Kenilworth Avenue NE, Washington, DC, on April 27, 2026. On Monday evening at approximately 11:18 p.m., U.S. Park Police attempt a traffic stop for reckless driving. The driver flees from police, loses control, crashes into a curb and tree, and disables the vehicle. The suspect then flees near Kenilworth Park in Northeast D.C. and runs onto DC 295, where the suspect is struck by a civilian vehicle. The driver of the vehicle involved is not injured. The suspect is transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. FBI agents and other federal law enforcement assist at the scene.
