17-year-old Jonathan Melo Fatally Stabbed At 1337 Beach Avenue

Members of the NYPD Crime Scene Unit execute a search warrant and collect evidence at 1337 Beach Avenue in Bronx, New York, United States, on April 30, 2026. This follows the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Jonathan Melo. On April 29, at approximately 4:34 PM, police respond to the location within the confines of the 43 Precinct and find Melo with a stab wound to the back. EMS transports Melo to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi in critical condition, where he is later pronounced dead by hospital staff.
