Child Deaths Rise As Measles Outbreak Worsens In Bangladesh.

Children diagnosed with measles receive treatment at a hospital amid a growing measles outbreak in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on May 4, 2026. In the last 24 hours, 17 more children have died with measles and measles symptoms. This is the highest number of child deaths in the last 50 days since the first measles case was detected in the country. The number of deaths due to measles and measles symptoms in the country in the last 50 days has reached 311.
