Solemn Procession To Skalka In Krakow
Participants take part in the solemn procession from Wawel to Skalka in honor of St. Stanislaus in Krakow, Poland, on May 10, 2026. The tradition of this procession dates back to the 13th century. Every year, it moves from Wawel to the Pauline monastery at Skalka, where a solemn Mass is celebrated at the Three Millennium Altar. Relics of Polish saints, including St. Stanislaus, are carried during the procession, and bishops from across the country participate in the ceremony. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
