Monks participate in the Indonesia Walk for Peace (IWFP) 2026, passing through the streets of Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia, on May 14, 2026. The monks, from various Asian countries, are traveling to Borobudur Temple for the Vesak celebration. This spiritual journey, known as ''Thudong,'' involves monks from several Southeast Asian countries walking hundreds of kilometers as a symbol of peace, simplicity, and mindfulness.
