Kyiv comes under massive attack of Russian drones and missiles

A rescuer from the State Emergency Service and a man affected by a missile and drone strike are in an aerial work platform during a response effort in Kyiv, Ukraine, on May 14, 2026. A large-scale military operation involving more than 670 drones and 56 missiles takes place in the Ukrainian capital. The operation results in damage to 11 multi-storey residential buildings, cars, a supermarket, two car dealerships, two petrol stations, a business centre, and a service station.
