Foreign diplomats visit Kyiv apartment block hit by Russian missile

Ambassador of Italy to Ukraine Carlo Formosa (center) visits a nine-storey apartment block in the Darnytskyi district as part of a group of over 60 heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Ukraine, in Kyiv, Ukraine, on May 15, 2026. The residential building was struck by a missile, reportedly a Kh-101, at around 3:00 a.m. local time on May 14, causing an entire section to collapse. The incident resulted in the deaths of 24 people, including three children, and injured 48 others.
