Amputee Football Championship In Kathmandu, Nepal

Bal Gopal Sahukhala attends the Bagmati Province Amputee Football Championship organized by the Nirmala Foundation in Kathmandu, Nepal, on May 16, 2026. Sahukhala, an assistant coach of the Nepal national football team under ANFA and part of Nepal's AFC Pro Licence coaching pathway, has been involved in youth and elite football development, including roles with the Nepal U-19 women's national team and Nepal U-20 men's team. The championship is part of an initiative to empower women through amputee football and form Nepal's first-ever women's amputee football team under the campaign message ''Let no one sit on the sideline.'' The program aims to build confidence, develop football skills, and create pathways for national and international participation, including potential participation in the 2027 Women's Amputee Football World Cup.
