Nepal Cricket Association Bids Farewell To National Women's Cricket Team For Asian Games And ACC Women Premier Cup

The Nepal Cricket Association (CAN) bids farewell to the Nepali national women's cricket team in Kathmandu, Nepal, on May 17, 2026, as they depart for the Asian Games Women's Qualifiers and ACC Women's Premier Cup. Captain Indu Burma and Vice-captain Pooja Mahato are included in the team announced by CAN for both tournaments to be held in Malaysia. Other team members are Sita Ranabagar, Sony Pakhrin, Seema KC, Bindu Rawal, Samjhana Khadka, Rubi Poddar, Kabita Kunwar, Kabita Joshi, Riya Sharma, Anju Kayat, Manisha Upadhyay, and Rubina Chhetri. CAN has listed Savitri Dhami, Somu Bist, Sana Parveen, and Laxmi Saud as reserve players. The Asian Games Qualifier is scheduled from May 23 to 31, and the Premier Cup will take place from June 1 to 13. A total of eight teams will compete in the Asian Games, with India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh already qualified. Nepal is participating in this qualifier for the remaining spots.
