General Strike Protests In Porto, Portugal

Thousands of people gather and march in Porto, Portugal, on June 3, 2026, as a general strike takes place. Several public and private services, such as schools, hospitals, and transportation, are shut down or running minimal services. The general strike is called by CGTP, the largest confederation of unions in Portugal, in response to the labor reform proposed by the government led by Prime Minister Luis Montenegro.
