The white marble cross bears the inscription ''Michele Gesualdi / n. 21.12.1943 / m. 18.1.2018 / Michele di Barbiana'' and a dedication noting his involvement with Don Lorenzo Milani in the religious, educational, and scholastic experience of Barbiana.
