Argentina Mourns Rock Icon Indio Solari with Massive Plaza de Mayo Vigil

A shrine with candles and photos of Indio Solari is set up by fans during ''La Ultima Misa Ricotera'' at Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, following the news of Carlos ''Indio'' Solari's death at the age of 77. The gathering, which emerged spontaneously through social media, transformed the political center of the country into what was formally named ''La Ultima Misa Ricotera.'' A large crowd of all ages joined in collective mourning. Red and black flags and shirts filled the area. Followers held a vigil with lit candles, and songs like ''Jijiji,'' ''La bestia pop,'' and ''Un angel para tu soledad'' were sung in unison in front of the Casa Rosada. The popular mobilization reflects the significant cultural legacy of the former leader of Patricio Rey y sus Redonditos de Ricota. (Photo by Catriel Gallucci Bordoni/NurPhoto)
