Lajkonik Parade In Krakow
The traditional Lajkonik parade marches through the city streets in Krakow, Poland, on June 11, 2026. The Lajkonik Parade is included in the National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage and is one of Krakow's oldest traditions. During the octave of Corpus Christi, a parade of Tatars led by Lajkonik, riding on an artificial horse, roams the city streets. On this day, it is said that being hit by Lajkonik's mace brings good luck. (Photo by Klaudia Radecka/NurPhoto)
