Massive Russian attack damages Kyiv Pechersk Lavra and Mystetskyi Arsenal in Kyiv

Firefighters use aerial work platforms to extinguish a fire at the Mystetskyi Arsenal National Cultural, Art and Museum Complex in Kyiv, Ukraine, on June 15, 2026. The fire follows a large-scale military operation involving missiles and drones. Four people are reported dead and 28 injured, including children and a pregnant woman. Damage to power grids leaves at least 140,000 consumers without electricity. Residential buildings, the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, the Mystetskyi Arsenal Museum Complex, the Dovzhenko Film Studio, and the building of the High Anti-Corruption Court sustain damage.
