Glass Pane Falls From EU's Tallest Skyscraper In Warsaw

The Varso Tower is seen in this file photo taken on 09 June, 2026 in Warsaw, Poland. On Monday a glass panel fell from the 28th floor of Varso Tower, the tallest building in the European Union. No injuries were reported. Building manager HB Reavis attributed the incident to spontaneous fracturing of tempered glass, a phenomenon it said can be triggered by nickel sulfide inclusions activated by temperature changes. A similar incident occurred at the same tower in September 2025. (Photo by Jaap Arriens/NurPhoto)
