Former TV Anchor Turned Politician Rabi Lamichhane Re-elected Unopposed As President Of Balen Affiliated Rastriya Swatantra Party

Lamichhane is re-elected unopposed as the President of the party during the ongoing first General Convention in Chitwan, which began on June 21, 2026. As no other candidate filed a nomination for the position, he is declared elected unopposed. According to the party, senior leader Balen Shah served as the proposer for Lamichhane's nomination for the chairperson post. The RSP is expected to elect a new leadership team through its first general convention while also planning the party's future political direction and organizational expansion strategy.
