Nepalese Hindu Celebrates Janai Purnima Sacred thread festival

Nepalese kids from Hindu school Bhagwat Sanyaas Aashram Gurukul reading rituals holy book during Janai Purnima festival or Rakchhya Bandhan at Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu, Nepal August 18, 2016. During Janai Purnima or Rakchhya Bandhan people from Bhraman and Chhetri community change their “Janai” (a scared thread). Similarly people from other communities get tied a “Doro” (sacred colorful thread) around their wrest. It is assumed that this thread protect people from diseases and misfortune.
