Protest Against Cage Farming
Anima International organizes a large-scale cage installation in front of the European Commission in Brussels, Belgium, on June 30, 2026. The event by the End the Cage Age coalition marks five years since the European Commission committed to propose legislation banning cages in farming. This commitment was a response to the End the Cage Age European Citizens' Initiative, submitted in 2020, which was one of the most supported ECIs in European Union history. The action draws attention to the Commission's lack of action on the mandate of the 1.4 million citizens who signed it and urges the Commission to deliver the promised reforms.
