A strengthening weather system is expected to bring widespread heavy to very heavy rainfall across Jammu and Kashmir over the next 48 hours, raising concerns about flooding, waterlogging, and landslides in several parts of the region. At least 25 people were killed in floods and landslides triggered by torrential rain across northern and northeastern India over the weekend, officials said on Monday, with more rainfall forecast in the coming days.
