India's Opposition Aam Aadmi Party Protests In Support Of The Cockroach Janta Party's Movement Demanding Educational Reforms
A supporter of India's opposition Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), which translates to ''Common Man's Party,'' holds a placard and shouts slogans during a protest in support of the Cockroach Janta Party's ongoing movement demanding educational reforms in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, on July 25, 2026. The demonstration comes days after tens of thousands of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) supporters marched toward India's Parliament in New Delhi on the opening day of the Monsoon Session, demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) examination paper leaks and calling for sweeping reforms to the country's education system. The march triggered clashes with police, during which officers used tear gas and baton charges to disperse protesters, while opposition parties, including the Congress, extended support to the movement. Talks between the Indian government and leaders of the youth-led ''Cockroach'' movement failed to make headway on July 24, as protesters gathered across the country to push for an overhaul of the education system.
