Daily life in Azerbaijan

The sacred place of Anig village, Pir Dervish Baba, Qusar district, Azerbaijan, on 6 October 2016. Such holy places are tombs where saint people were buried. People believe that prayers at such places are more helpful. They knit ribbons and yarns, bring different symbols of their diseases here and ask for help in all kinds of problems. The pirs are an inherent part of the religious life for the inhabitants of the mountain villages in Azerbaijan. ( (Photo by Oleksandr Rupeta/NurPhoto))
