The fisheries of Zanzibar
A big billfish at the fish market in Nungwi village, Zanzibar. Fishing is the main business of local people on the island. They catch different kind of fish, especially kingfish, tuna, marlin, ray. There are some places where fishermen catch mostly anchovies, locally called Dagaa. Besides using the fish for local restaurants and hotels it can be also sold to the mainland.
